The answer is 5.
X=1/y*k
K is a constant.
So, xy=k
So,25*3=k=75
Now, x is 15 &k is 75.
So, 15*y=75
Hence y is 75/15=5
Y=5

Answer:

The value of y=5 when x=15.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If x and y vary inversely and x= 25, when y= 3.

To Find : The value of y, when x=15?

Solution :

As x and y vary inversely proportional which means

x\propto \frac{1}{y}

x=\frac{k}{y}

Where, k is inversely proportional constant

So, xy=k

Now, Substituting x=25 and y=3

(25)(3)=k

k=75

Put back in the equation,

xy=75

Now, Put x=15

15y=75

y=\frac{75}{15}

y=5

Therefore, The value of y=5 when x=15.
