It is given that ,

x³ + x² + ax + b is divisible by x² - x ,

x² - x ) x³ + x² + ax + b ( x + 2
********x³ - x²
________________
***********2x² + ax
***********2x²- 2x
________________
****************ax + 2x + b

Therefore ,

ax + 2x + b = 0

( a + 2 )x + b = 0

a + 2 = 0 and b = 0

a = -2 and b = 0
