Let the no. be x,

Then,

=> X-40x/100= 135

=> x - 2x/5 = 135 =

=>x/1 - 2x/5 = 135

Now LCM of 1 & 5 = 5

=> 5x-2x/5 = 135

=> 3x/5 = 135

=> x = 135 x 5/3

=> x = 45 x 5

=> x= 225

Given :

  • ' x ' decreased by = 40 %

  • Result = 135

To find :

  • Value of ' x '

According to the question :

We know that,

⟶ For % , we will divide the value by 100

⟶ ' x ' decreased by 40 % of itself.

So,

∴ x - 40 / 100 x = 135

Solving :

⟹ x - 40 / 100 x = 135

⟹ x - 4 / 10 x = 135

↦LCM = 10

⟹ ( x × 10 / 1 × 10 ) - ( 4 × 1 / 10 × 1 ) = 135

⟹ ( 10x / 10 ) - ( 4x - 10 ) = 135

⟹ 10x - 4x / 10 = 135

⟹ 6x / 10 = 135

⟹ 6x = 135 × 10

⟹ 6x = 1350

⟹ x = 1350 / 6

x = 225

The value of ' x ' = 225

So, It's Done !!
