if X equal to 3 is one zero of the quadratic polynomial x2- 2kx-6 ,then find the value of k ​

If X =3

then by putting the value of x , we get

3*2-2*k*3-6

=6*(-6)k -6

= -36k

Now

It is given that,

x=3 is the zero of the given polynomials

So,

-36k-6=0

or, -36k= 0+6(transposing-6 to RHS)

or, -36 k = 6

or,-k = -6/36

or,k= 1/6
