Solution

$\frac{1}{x} = \frac{1 \times ( \sqrt{2} + 1) }{( \sqrt{2} - 1) \times( \sqrt{2} + 1) } \\ = \frac{ \sqrt{2} + 1}{( \sqrt{2}) ^{2} - (1) ^{2} } \\ = \frac{ \sqrt{2} + 1}{2 - 1} \\ = \sqrt{2} + 1$
