Answer:

given- x =√5-1/√5+1

          y =√5+1/√5-1

to find- x²+xy+y²=?

sol- x=√5-1/√5+1*√5-1/√5-1

         =6-2√5/4

      y=√5+1/√5-1*√5-1/√5-1

          =6+2√5/4

x²=(6-2√5/4)²

  =9-6√5/4

y²=(6+2√5/4)²

   =9+6√5/4

xy=6-2√5/4*6+2√5/4

   =1

∴ x²+xy+y²=9-6√5/4 + 1 + 9+6√5/4

                =9-6√5+4+9+6√5/4

                 =18+4/4

                 =22/4

                 =11/2
