Answer:

Zero=5/2

2x²-kx-12=0

Putting x=5,2 in the equation, we get

2(5/2)²-(5/2)k-12=0

2*25/4 - 5k/2 -12=0

25/2-5k/2=12

25-5k/2=12

25-5k=24

25-24=5k

1=5k

1/5=k

12

Step-by-step explanation:

We know x is zero of polynomial = 5/2

Now p(x) = 2x^2 - Kx - 12

p(5/2) = 2(5/2)^2 - 5/2k - 12

2(25/4) - 5/2k - 12 = 0

25/2 - 12 = 5/2k

5/2k = 25/2 - 12

5/2k = 1/2

k = 1/2×2/5

k = 1/5
