In this question , it is given that

MS(metal sulphate)=x gm

MO(metal oxide)=y gm

their gram equivalent will same i.e.

(Wt./eq.wt.of M+O)of MO= (wt./eq.wt. of M+S)of MS

now, we know that eq. wt. of oxygen is always fix..i.e for MO

(y/M+8)

in third option it is given only...so this is correct...

eq. wt. of sulphur is not fix..so dont know its exact value..
