yes it is true , since the sum of a rational and an irrational number is always irrational.
for example 2is a rational number and √3 is irrational so adding them = 2+√3= 2√3 (which is irrational.) hope it helps Mark as brainlist

yes the sum of a rational number and irrational number is always irrational.To justify that we will take an example let X= 5 and y=√7

then,

5+√7= 5+√7

we can't solve it
