We know that sinФ=cos(90-Ф)

Thus, sin(x+28)⇒cos{90-(x+28)}⇒cos(62-x)

Thus, sin(x+28)=cos(62-x)......(1)

But,   sin(x+28)=cos(3x-78)...(2)

Subtract (1) and (2). You will get:

cos(62-x)=cos(3x-78)

We can equate cos.

62-x=3x-78

62+78=3x+x

140=4x

x=140/4

x=35°
