therefore putting x= 45°
=2sin^2 (45°)+ 1/2cot^2 (45°) -3cos^2 (45°)
=2(1/√2)^2 + 1/2(1)^2 - 3(1/√2)
=1 + 1/2 - 3/√2
=(2 + 1 - 3√2)/2
={3(1-√2)}/2
