If x is an rational no. and y is a irrational no. then show that (x+y) is always irrational .

We can prove it by taking an example..
Let x be 2, which is a rational number and let y be √5, which is an irrational number..
So by adding them we get 2+√5 which is irrational number
Hence, proved
