Here is ur answer

x=1

x^3 - 2x^2 + 4x + k =0

1^3 - 2(1)^2 + 4(1) + k =0

1 - 2 + 4 + k =0

3 + k = 0

k=(-3)

If x=1 is the zero of p(x)

x(1) = {1}^{3} - 2({1})^{2} + 4(1) + k \\ 0 = 1 - 2 + 4 + k \\ 0 = 3 + k

Therefore, k= -3
