x=√3+√2
then 1/x =1/(√3+√2)
after rationalizing the denominator we get
1/x=√3-√2
therefore x+1/x = √3+√2+√3-√2=2√3
if x+1/x = 2√3
(x+1/x)²=x²+1/x²+2
(2√3)²= x²+1/x²+2
12-2=x²+1/x²
10=x²+1/x²
