        $x^{2}$ =   0.111111 + 8 + 1.8853 = 9.996411

        x = 0.3333 + 2*1.414 = 3.1613

x - 1/x = ($x^{2}$ - 1)/x = (9.996411 - 1) /3.1613 = 2.84579
