If X is in direct variation with square of Y and when X is 4, Y is 3. What is the value of X when Y is 6?

If X is in Indirect variation with square of  Y

begin mathsize 16px style straight x space straight alpha space 1 over straight y squared end style

xy2 =  k

when X is 4, Y is 3.

4 × 32 = k

k = 36

The equation is xy2 =  36

when Y is 6

x × 62 = 36

y = 1
