let us assume 'y' to be 30% of x

so y=30*x/100

now ,

x-30x/100=63

taking common denominator,

100x-30x/100=63

70x/100=63

moving 100 to right

70x=63*100

70x=6300

now moving 70 to right and leaving x at left

x=6300/70

x=90

for verification ,

y=30*90/100

y=27

x-y=63

90-27=63

63=63
