If x is the number of hours a labour is on work and y is his wages in rupees then y=5x+2. Find the wages of labourer who put in 6 hours of work.

Here is your answer !!

x is the number of hours a labour is on work .
y is his wages in rupees .

y = 5x + 2 .

Now , hours of work done ( x ) = 6 .

So , y = 5x + 2
=> y = ( 5 × 6 ) + 2
=> y = 32 .

So , the wages of the labourer is Rs 32 . (Ans)

Since
y = 5x + 2
And x=6 hours is given...
Therefore
 y = (5 \times 6) + 2
Y = 32
