If √(x- iy) = a- ib prove that √(x+iy) = a +ib​

Answer:

Given, √(x-iy) =a-ib

=(x-iy) =(a-ib) ^

=x-iy=a^-2aib-b^

comparing we get,

x=a^-b^& y=2ab

LHS. √(x+iy)

=√a^-b^+2ab

=√a^+2aib+(ib) ^

=√(a+ib) ^

=a+ib

= RHS
