Answer: m=2

Step-by-step explanation:

x-2 is a factor of p(x)

then x=2 will be the zero of p(x)

p(x)= x^3 -m(x)^2 +10x - 20 = 0

p(2) = 2^3 - m(2)^2  + 10(2) - 20 = 0

8-4m+20-20 = 0

m=2

hope this help you

and if anyone doesn't understand this question as well as answer , i want to tell that this question is of 9th class mathematics

Answer:

Let p(x)=x³ −mx²+10x−20

It is given that (x−2) is a factor of p(x)=x³−mx²+10x−20

∴p(2)=0

⇒(2)³−m×(2)²+10×(2)−20=0

⇒8−4+20−20=0

⇒8−4m=0

⇒4m=8

⇒m=2
