x-y=7

therefore, x=7+y

x×y=0

= (7+y)y= 0 ... 7y+y²=0 ..y²=-7y

therefore, y=-7...

thus, x = 7 + y= 7 +(-7)= 0

therefore, x²+y²= 49

Answer:49

Step-by-step explanation:

X-Y=7      .........[a]

XY=0       .........[b]

Now,

From ...[a]

Sq. both sides

(X-Y)^2=X^2+Y^2+2XY

     7^2 =X^2+Y^2+2 . 0    [From .....{b}]

      49  =X^2+Y^2
