Step-by-step explanation:

If,

x+1/X=4

x+1=4X

x+1/4=X

then,

(X^4)+(1/X)^4

=(x+1/4 × x+1/4 × x+1/4 × x+1/4)+

[1/(x+1/4)]^4

=( 4x+1/256) +[1/(x+1/4)]^4

=(x+1/64)+ [1/(4x+1/256)]

= (x+1/64)+(256/4x+1)

=(x+1/64)+(64/x+1)

= [(x+1)^2/64(x+1)]+[(64)^2/64(x+1)]

=(x^2+2x+1/64x+64)+(4096/64x+64)

=(x^2+2x+1+4096/64x+64)

=(x^2+2x+1+64/64x)

=(x^2+x+65/32x)

therefore,

(X^4)+(1/X)^4=x^2+x+65/32x
