If (x)=px+q ,f (−3)=−4and f(3)=2then find the values of p and q

Answer:

f (−3)=−4

-3p+q =-4 --------->1

f(3)=2

3p+q =2 -------->2

adding 1 and 2

2q = -2

q= -1

substituting q= -1 in 2

3p -1 = 2

3p= 3

p=1
