  • x^2+1\x^2=3
  • x^2+1=3x^2
  • 3x^2-x^2+1=0
  • 2x^2+1=0
  • x^2= -1\2

x=1\√2

:x+1\x

  • [(1\√2)+1]÷(1\√2)
  • [(1+√2)÷√2]× √2

=[1+√2 ]

Answer:

x^{2}  + \frac{1}{x^{2} } = 3\\

Adding two on both sides we get,

=x^{2}  + \frac{1}{x^{2} }  + 2 = 5\\x^{2} + \frac{1}{x^{2} }  + 2 * x * \frac{1}{x} = 5

As (a+b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

so

(x + \frac{1}{x} )^{2}  = x^{2}  + \frac{1}{x^{2} } + 2 * x * \frac{1}{x} \\

Now,

(x + \frac{1}{x})^{2} = 5 \\

x + \frac{1}{x} = √5
