If x square+y square=13 and xy=6
Find the value of:
x+y
x-y
x power 4+ y power 4

(x+y)²=x²+y²+2xy
(x+y)²=13+2(6) = 13+12 = 25
(x+y) =√25 =5
(x-y)²=x²+y²-2xy
(x-y)²=13-2(6) =13-12=1
(x-y) =√1=1

x⁴+y⁴=(x²)²+(y²)²
= (x²)²+(y²)²+2x²y²-2x²y²
= [x²+y²]²-2x²y² = (13)²-(√2xy)²
x⁴+y⁴ = 169-(6√2)² = 169-72 = 97
