If x tan 45° cos 60° = sin 60° cot 60°, then x is equal to

SOLUTION :  

The correct option is  (a) : 1

Given : x tan 45° cos 60° = sin 60° cot 60°  

x tan 45° cos 60° = sin 60° cot 60°  

x (1) (½) = (√3/2) × (1/√3)

[tan 45° = 1 , cos 60° = ½ , sin 60° = √3/2, cot 60° = 1/√3]

x/2 = ½

2x = 2

x = 2/2  

x = 1  

Hence, the value of x is 1 .

we know tan45 = 1

cos 60 = 1/2
sin60 = root (3)/2
cot60 = 1/root (3)

plugging in the values,

x/2 = 1/2
x =1 which is the required answer
