x = 2 +  \sqrt{5}  \\  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  = (x +  \frac{1}{x} )^{2}  - 2 \\ substitute \: x = 2 +  \sqrt{5}  \:  \: and \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{2 +  \sqrt{5} }
