Concept:

If we want to make a decimal number with continuity into a fraction then we have to take product of the number containing 9 for number of times equals to the number of digits under bar and the number containing zero after 1 for number of times one less than the number of digits after decimal point, as denominator.

Like 0.\bar{A}=\frac{A}{9}

Given:

Given the mathematical equation is x upon 9 = 0.6bar + 0.4bar

Find:

The value of x for above mathematical expression.

Solution:

Given mathematical equation is \frac{x}{9}=0.\bar6+0.\bar4

Now converting all the decimal into fraction we get,

0.\bar6=\frac{6}{9} and 0.\bar4=\frac{4}{9}

Calculating the mathematical equation,

\frac{x}{9}=0.\bar6+0.\bar4\\\frac{x}{9}=\frac{6}{9}+\frac{4}{9}\\\frac{x}{9}=\frac{6+4}{9}\\\frac{x}{9}=\frac{10}{9}\\x=\frac{10}{9}\times9=10

Hence the value of x is given by 10.
