Hey there!

We know:

x : w = 3 : 4 ; x / w = 3 / 4

Now, we know 3w = 4x and w = 4x / 3

z : y = 5 : 7 ; z / y = 5 / 7

Now, we know 5y = 7z and z = 5y / 7

x : y = 4 : 7 ; x / y = 4 / 7

Now, we know 4y = 7x and x = 4y / 7

I found these values by 'cross-multiplication'.

We will need to know z : w. We know z and w.

z : w = ( 5y / 7 ) / ( 4x / 3 )

z : w = ( 5y / 7 )( 3 / 4x )

z : w = ( 15y / 28x )

We found that x is 4y / 7

If we substitute, we get :

z : w = ( 15y / 16y )

Now, we could say z : w = 15 : 16

Hope my answer helps!
