The value of x is 64

Given:

\frac{x}{x^{1.5}}=8 x^{-1}

To find:

The value of x

Solution:

The given equation to find the value of x is given below,

\frac {x} {x^{1.5} } = 8 \times x^{-1}

Manipulating the powers of the x, we can individualise the x value,

\Rightarrow x^{-0.5} = \frac {8} {x}

Since,

x^{-0.5} = \frac {1} {\sqrt {x} }

\Rightarrow \frac {1} {\sqrt {x}} = \frac {8} {x}

The above equation is written in the “following manner”,

\Rightarrow \sqrt {x} = 8

\Rightarrow x = 64
