(a) [x/y]-¹ (b) [x/y + y/x)-¹​

= -27/(81÷16)

x/y = -16/3

(a) [x/y]-¹ = -3/16

b) [x/y + y/x)-¹ = (-16/3 - 3/16)^(-1)

= ((-256-9)/48)^(-1)

= (-265/48)^(-1)

= -48/265
