(x - y )² = x² + y² - 2xy

Solution:-

By above formula we can find x² + y²

(x - y )² = x² + y² - 2xy

Plugging values

(10)² = x² + y² -2(-2)

100 = x² + y² + 4

100 - 4 = x² + y²

96 = x² + y²

So, the value of x² + y² is 96
