$x+y=100\\ y+z=45$

To find-

$z+x=?$

Solution-

Take the given equation

$x+y=100$

Rearrange these equation as you can get value of $x$

$x = 100-y$      (1)

$y+z=45$

Rearrange these equation as you can get value of $z$

$z = 45 - y$       (2)

As we want the value of $z+x$ put the value of $z$ and $x$ from equation 1 and 2

$z+x = 45 -y + 100-y\\z+x = 145 -2y$

So,

The value of  z + x = 145 -2y
