Hello!!

Here is your answer :

Given :x+y = 12 and xy = 6

To find : x² + y²

Solution:

We use the identity

➡️ ( x + y )² = x² + y² + 2xy

Now,we put value from above information.

➡️ ( 12 )² = x² + y² + 6 × 2

➡️ 144 = x² + y² + 12

➡️ x² + y² = 144 - 12

➡️ x² + y² = 132

Answer: x² + y² = 132

Hope it helps you
