Now ,

By elimination method ,

x+y=12

x-y=2

2x=14

x=14/2

x=7

Putting x=7 in eq. 1 ;

x+y=12

Therefore , (7)+y=12

Therefore , y=12-7

y=5

Hence , (x,y)=(7,5)
