Hey MATE!!!

x+y = 15

x*y = 44

We know that :

(x+y)^2 = x^2 +y^2 + 2xy

Replacing values we get :

(15)^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2(44)

225 = x^2 + y^2 + 88

x^2 + y^2 = 225 - 88

x^2 + y^2 = 137 Answer
