If (X-Y)=16 and xy =24,find the value of (x+y)​

Given ,

  • x y = 16
  • xy = 24

So,

x + y

= (x + y )²

= (x² + 2xy + )

= ( - 2xy + + 4xy)

= {( x y)² + 4xy }

Now , substituting the values we get ,

= { 16² + 4 × 24}

= ( 256 + 96)

= 352

= 422
