Hey mate thank for the question
x+y=18--------------(1)
x-y=2-------------(2)
Adding eq 1 and 2
x+y=18
x-y=2
------------
2x=20
x=20/2
x=10
putting the value of x in eq2
10-y=2
10-2=y
y=8
x=10,y=8
x+y=18--------------(1)
x-y=2-------------(2)
Adding eq 1 and 2
x+y=18
x-y=2
------------
2x=20
x=20/2
x=10
putting the value of x in eq2
10-y=2
10-2=y
y=8
x=10,y=8

as given that ,
x+y=18--(1)
x-y=2.. (2)
from (2)
x=2+y ..(3)
put the value of x in equation (1)
as it ,
2+y+y=18
2+2y=18
2(1+y)=18
1+y=18/2
1+y=9
y=9-1
y=8
now put value of y in equation (3)
x=2+y
x=2+8
x=10
so the value of x and y are 10 and8.
hope it helped you !!
thank you !!
