23X + 18Y = 38160 ....(ii)

Multiply eq.(i) by 18 to make the coefficient of Y equal to eq (ii). Then we get the equation

18X+18Y=32400 ....(iii)

23X+18Y= 38160 ....(ii)

Subtract equation (ii) from equation (iii) we get

-5X= -5760

X=5760/5

X=1152

Substitute the value of X in equation (i), we get

1152+Y = 1800

Y=1800-1152

Y=648
