Correct Question :- if x+y+z = 12 and x²+y²+z² = 44 , find (xy +yz+zx) = ?

Solution :-

(x + y + z) = 12

Squaring both sides we get,

→ (x + y + z)² = 12²

using (a + b + c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2(ab + bc + ca) in LHS, we get,

→ x² + y² + z² + 2(xy + yz + zx) = 144

Putting given value of x²+y²+z² = 44 in LHS Now,

→ 44 + 2(xy + yz + zx) = 144

→ 2(xy + yz + zx) = 144 - 44

→ 2(xy + yz + zx) = 100

→ (xy + yz + zx) = (100/2)

→ (xy + yz + zx) = 50 (Ans.)
