Answer:

x + y = 2

x = 2 - y                          ..........(equation 1)

x - y = 1

now putting the value of x in the above equation obtained from equation 1

2 - y - y = 1

-2y = 1 - 2

-2y = -1

2y = 1

y = \frac{1}{2}

now finding the value of x by putting the value of y in equation 1

x = 2 -  \frac{1}{2}\\\\x = \frac{4 - 1}{2}\\\\x = \frac{3}{2}

Answer:

X = 3/2

Y = 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

X+Y = 2

X = 2–Y ••••••eq1

put this value of X in eq X–Y =1

X–Y = 1

2–Y–Y = 1

2–2Y = 1

2–1 = 2Y

1 = 2Y

Y = 1/2

put this value of Y = 1/2 in eq1

X = 2–Y

X = 2– 1/2

X = 4– 1/2

X = 3/2

Hope this will help you :)
