=> x - y = 2

=> x - y = 4

find x - y = ?

Then add (x - y = 2)

+ ( x - y = 4)

= 2x - 2y = 6

So,

=> 2(x - y) = 6

=> ( x - y) = 6/2

=> ( x - y) = 3
