x3-y3 = (x-y) (x2+xy+y2)

Now ( x2+xy+y2 ) OR (x2+y2+xy) = [ {(x-y)^2+2xy} + xy }

                                                         (since x2+y2=(x-y)^2+2xy)

Now substitute the values in (x-y) * [ {(x-y)^2+2xy} + xy ]

(2)*(2)^2+2*(3)+3 = 2*4+6+3 = 8+6+3 = 17
