If x:y = 3:4 ( as given in the question)

We have to find ( 3x + 4y)/(5x+6y)

Take x as 3 and y as 4 and put in

( 3x + 4y)/(5x+6y)

[(3×3)+(4×4)] / [(3×5) +(6×4)]

= (9+16)/ (15+24)

= 25/39

Hence

(3x+ 4y)/(5x+6y) = 25/39

Thanks
