If x = y = 3: 4, find (4x + 5y) = 5x - 2y

let x and y be 3z and 4z respectively.
(4x+5y)=4×3z+5×4z
=12z+20z
(4x+5y) =32z.
now,
5x-2y=5×3z-2×4z
=15z-8z
5x-2y=7z.
so their ratio=(4x+5y)/5x-2y
 =  \frac{32z}{7z}  \\  =  \frac{32}{7}  \\
=32:7
