HELLO THERE

QUESTION :-

solve the following set of equations :-

x + y = 3-------- (1)

4x - 3x = 26------(2)

Answer :-

we use ELIMINATION METHOD for the solution

multiply equation 1 by 4,,,, we get

4x + 4y = 12

4x - 3y = 26

-__________

y = -14 --------(3)

put the value of y in equation (1) ,,, we get

4x + 4 (-14) = 12

4x + (-56) =12

4x -56 = 12

4x = 12 +56

4x = 68

x = 68/4

x = 17.

conclusion :-

x = 17 and y = -14
