X + y = 3

X = 3 - y

L. H. S. = 2x + 3y

= 2 ( 3- y ) + 3 y

= 6 - 2y + 3y

= 6 + y

R. H. S. = x + 2y + 3

= ( 3 - y + 2y ) + 3

= 6 + y

L. H. S. = R. H. S.
