Step-by-step explanation:

2/x = 3/8

on cross multiplying we get

16= 3x

x =16/3According to the ques

x/y=5/4

on cross multiplying

4x=5y

putting the value of x

4× 16/3=5y

64/3=5y

y=64/15

Answer:

\huge\dag\red{Answer}\dag

2:x=3:8

\Rightarrow2/x=3/8

\Rightarrow16=3x {cross multiplication}

\Rightarrowx=16/3

x:y=5:4

\Rightarrowx/y=5/4

\Rightarrow4x=5y{cross multiplacition}

But,we know that x=16/3 because we find it above..

\Rightarrow4(16/3)=5y

\Rightarrow64/3=5y

\Rightarrow64/3÷5=y

\Rightarrow64/3×1/5=y

\Rightarrow64/15=y
