$and \: 2\ratio \: x = 3\ratio \: 8$

$then \: \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{4} \: \: \: ...(i)$

$and \: \frac{2}{x} = \frac{3}{8} \: \: \: ...(ii)$

$x = \frac{2 \times 8}{3} = \frac{16}{3}$

$now \: put \: the \: value \: of \: x \: in \: eq.(i)$

$\frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{4}$

$y = x \times \frac{4}{5}$

$y = \frac{16}{3} \times \frac{4}{5} = \frac{64}{15}$
