x/y =5/4 => 4x=5y -----eq1

=> 2/x=3/8

=> 3x=16

=> x=16/3

put the value of x in eq 1

=> 4x=5y

=> 4×16/3=5y

=> 64/3=5y

=> y=64/15

=> y= 4.26
